- 29 August 2023: Lagos-based Lafarge Africa Plc, an innovative and sustainable building solutions company, has deployed a new bag filter technology system at its Ewekoro cement plant in Ogun State. The filter cost approximately USD 8.51 Million and has effectively lowered the dust emissions of the plant to less than 50 mg/Nm³.
- 24 July 2023: UK sustainable construction company Aggregate Industries is building a new kiln bag filter system at its cement facility in Cauldon. The £8.7million kiln bag filter system will remove particulate matter generated as part of the cement production process such as dust and prevent it from getting into the atmosphere. The new filter technology, which consists of 2,080 specialized fabric bags, will also reduce emissions from 30 mg/Nm³ to 10 mg/Nm³.
